Scholarship Award
The Northern New Mexico Horsemen’s Association is actively seeking candidates for its 2010 College Scholarship Award. If you are, or know of, an eligible graduating senior, print out the application below, fill it out, and mail it in.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
This College Scholarship application is only for High School graduating seniors who have participated in the 4-H or Horse related organizations. The applicant must show proof that he/she has been accepted to an accredited College or University in order for funds to be awarded.
Guidelines for selection are: 1) Past academic achievements, 2) financial need, 3) participation in 4-H or horse related club activities, and 4) having expressed an interest in achieving a higher education in any major.
CHECKLIST FOR YOUR SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Have you completed the following? Each item on the checklist must be completed for consideration for this scholarship.
1. Documentation of participation in 4-H or other horse related club.
2. Proof of acceptance to an accredited college or university.
3. Academic achievements and a current transcript.
4. Statement of financial need.
5. An essay using 250-300 words maximum of Life Education Goals.
6. Letter of recommendation from one teacher, with name and address.
7. Letter of recommendation from one adult who is not a parent or relative, with name and address.
8. Statement of why you are interested in achieving a higher education in any major.

After the NNMHA Scholarship Committee reviews the applications, those chosen for an interwiew will be notified of the date. Dead line for application is May 1st and recipient will be nofitied by graduation.
